Solder wire have two big type: lead-free and tin-lead.

solder wire with rosin cored flux:

Lead free solder flux:

QQ-200, No-clean, anti-lug tine, rosin cored flux

Halide-free; suitable for hand soldering at narrow space (IC) and lug soldering on the PCB Board needing fast soldering speed.less splash and smoke,less smell;

AK47e, Rosin cored, active flux

It is suitable for the general purpose electronic soldering.

Fast soldering speed, but a little more smoke and splash than QQ-200.

Tin lead solder flux:

MK40, Rosin cored, active flux

Suitable for the big different components soldering.

Strong early wetting rate and good durative.

It will generate some smoke, smell and splashing.

MC-20A, Rosin cord, active flux

It is similar with MK40. But it will generate less smoke,less smell and splashing than MK40
